Casa Helecho or "Fern House" in English - evokes the origins of these miniature greenhouses which were invented by a man who could not grow his ferns in the dirty city. Terrariums are the perfect urban garden: compact, whimsical and easy to maintain indoors.Through Vashali Maria Designs, Vashali styles for events, photo shoots, galleries, offices, and homes. Her terrariums are available for individual sale through Casa Helecho.Vashali was raised by a mom from Argentina and a father from India. Both architects and urban planners in the 70's, they introduced Vashali to a green world, from the Burle Marx Gardens in Rio to the Barnes Foundation near by. In 2004 Vashali took courses at Parsons School of Design in order to realize her concept of bringing "the outside in." The terrariums made by Casa Helecho incorporate several design innovations so the striking creations keep maintenance minimal.Stay tuned for up coming sales and events.
